Re #1, I support ...Bible Gateway is indispensable.<br /><br />Re #1, I support the most literal translation of a word: in this case: "to serve." I also like it when a given Greek or Hebrew word is translated by one English word everywhere in the Bible. Thus diak- would always be translated as serv- unless there were some inescapable reason why that couldn't be the case. Likewise "ergon" would always be "works." Not deeds, actions, or 'what he did'.
