God owns us, which is as it should be. It doesn't seem like you gain much. I've thought it through a number of times, and my literal brain came up with this: you sell your meager possessions in order to gain something that is so much more valuable that it renders the loss irrelevant, b/c it allows you to replace it all. <br /><br />And then, of course, your question brings up the idea of being "owned" by God--a whole other level of spiritual development.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
