What can our enemies do for us?

From Father Longenecker:
But what if you considered your critic to be your best friend? The one thing we are blind to is our faults. We think we’re delightful. Would that we had the gift to see ourselves as others see us!
Your critic may just be giving you the gift of seeing yourself as others see you. You can then (if you’re big enough) accept how you come across to others–even if it hurts. In this way you can “love your enemy.”
I certainly never thought of it that way.

May God bless all who read my ramblings,
